2. The site is information, not advice
Everything published here — including the guides under Insights — is general information about how buildings and South African compliance requirements typically work. It is not engineering, legal or financial advice for your specific building.
Regulations, standards and municipal requirements change and differ between local authorities. Confirm your specific position with a registered person before acting on anything you read here.
3. The energy estimator
The estimator on this site produces an indicative range for planning purposes only. It applies published, conservative saving bands to the share of spend typically controllable in your building type.
It is not a quotation, not a guarantee, and not a substitute for a metered energy audit. Only an audit over at least one full billing cycle produces a figure you can budget against.
4. Capability scopes
The pages under Capability describe typical scopes of work. Unless a page states otherwise, they are illustrative and do not describe a specific client project. No client is named and no outcome figure is claimed. Client references are available on request.
5. Quotations and scope
Nothing on this site constitutes an offer. Work is carried out under a written quotation or maintenance agreement, and that document — not this website — governs scope, price, programme and response times.
6. Intellectual property
The Powerline name, logo, page copy, diagrams and illustrations on this site belong to Powerline. You may share links and print pages for your own use. You may not republish the content commercially without permission.
7. Third-party links
Where we link out — for example to a map service or a WhatsApp conversation — that service has its own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for them.
8. Availability
We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Urgent matters should go to the telephone numbers published on the site.
