Compliance & Inspections
Compliance Inspections & Site Management
Certificate of Compliance inspections, infrared thermographic surveys, O&M reporting and full site management for electrical, gas and wet services.
Find the fault before it finds you.

PLATE 01 · INSPECTION & CERTIFICATION
The problem
Most buildings fail compliance for the same reason: nobody inspected them until something went wrong. An expired Certificate of Compliance stalls a property transfer, voids an insurance claim and leaves a landlord personally exposed. Hidden faults — a loose termination, an overloaded circuit, a leaking joint behind a wall — give warning long before they fail. You just need someone able to read the warning.
What we do
Compliance & Inspections: the scope in detail.
01
Certificate of Compliance inspection
Testing and verification of electrical, gas and plumbing installations for compliance with SANS. We inspect, test, record the results, and issue the certificate where the installation passes — or a defect list and a quote where it does not.
02
Thermographic inspection
Infrared scanning of electrical distribution, wet services and building structure to detect hidden faults — hot terminations, overloaded phases, concealed leaks, failing insulation — with a full photographic report. No downtime, no dismantling, no guesswork.
03
O&M services and reporting
Electrical and energy system reporting that states clear findings with severity ratings, then recommends a maintenance plan that extends asset performance instead of just listing problems.
04
Site management
We oversee daily operations, coordinate contractors and engineers, enforce safety protocols and manage resources to keep the project on schedule and within budget.
What you receive
Not a promise. A document.
- Certificate of Compliance (electrical, gas or plumbing) where the installation passes
- Photographic thermographic survey report with fault locations
- Defect schedule with severity ratings — critical, high, moderate, monitor
- Recommended maintenance plan with priorities and indicative costs
- Traceable inspection record for insurers, transfer attorneys and auditors
Standards we work to
- SANS 10142-1 — low-voltage electrical installations
- Occupational Health and Safety Act — Electrical Installation Regulations
- SANS 10400 — application of the National Building Regulations
- Local authority plumbing and gas conformity requirements
Typical timeline
A residential CoC inspection is typically a single visit. Commercial and industrial inspections are scoped on site — most are completed within 2 to 5 working days, with the report issued on completion.
