How often must a fire system be serviced?

Detection and alarm systems require regular scheduled inspection and testing, and portable fire equipment must be serviced annually under SANS 10287. We put the whole building on one schedule so nothing lapses individually.

Will my insurer accept your documentation?

That is what it is written for. Every service produces a dated record against the specific devices and zones, which is what an insurer asks for after an incident.

Can fire and security systems share infrastructure?

They can and often should. We install both, so detection, access control, CCTV and HVAC shutdown are designed to work together instead of being three separate contracts that meet for the first time during a fire drill.
